On 26 June Nower Hill School in Harrow, London held a Global Education Day event in the hall at lunch time. They held a workshop with 10 students, discussing schools around the world, how some children do not have the opportunity to go to school and what they can do to make a change.
Pupils wanted to make a change and spread the word within the school community. As a result, 30 other students also made and submitted their own world leaders which they posted to their local MP.
Approximately 75 pupils signed a petition supporting the campaign goals, including “ensuring education for the disadvantaged children living in conflict, girls and children with learning differences.”
Send My Friend to School brings together thousands of children across the UK to speak up for the right to education.
